Santo Antonio Ecological Reserve performs the First Environment Educational Parade
The Environmental Management Department held the First Environmental Education Parade with a focus on the reuse of recyclable materials in partnership with schools in the region. The goal was to work on creativity by building clothes and accessories using reused materials, seeking to raise awareness about the importance of recycling to preserve the environment.
The Project had the participation of Maria José do Rego School and Mundo Encantado Pre School (private), located in the town of São Luis do Quitunde-AL, Nossa Senhora da Conceição School and Ernesto Gomes Maranhão School, located in the town of Passo de Camaragibe-AL.
The garments makings were inspired in the indigenous culture, casual and fancy styles. According to the evaluation standards, the clothes had to be made of paper, plastic and metal; there was no lack of creativity, the schools used cardboard, pet bottle tops, aluminum foil seals, CDs, plastic bags, towels, plastic bags, yarn and nylon bags.
