Ecological cycling tour moves weekend in Maceió
Santo Antônio Mill participated with the donation of bicycles that were distributed to the winners of the race
This Sunday (6) the Environment Institute (IMA) celebrated the World Environment Day by promoting a cycling tour in the city of Maceió. The event started at 8am, with the departure of approximately 1,500 cyclists from the Multi-sports square of Pontal da Barra, who cycled to the Alagoinha, Ponta Verde Beach.
Upon arriving at the beach, the cyclists and participants of the event were welcomed with several stands set up by federal, state, and municipal public agencies, among other public and private companies. Santo Antônio Mill donated bicycles to award the first-place finishers in the race, which were delivered upon the arrival of the athletes at Ponta Verde Beach. By doing this, we encourage and promote the practice of sports activities.
The cycling tour is an event that is also intended to promote ecological thinking. Therefore, environmental education pamphlets were distributed on the occasion. The event moved the Maceio citizens’ Sunday with joy, leisure and distraction.
