Santo Antonio Central Sugar Company has a Surface Water Quality Monitoring Program to monitor the quality of water bodies from the standpoint of sustainable development, in order to maintain and preserve the quality of the environment.

Several physico-chemical and microbiological parameters are collected and analyzed in two points: Montante and Jusante of the Rivers: Santo Antonio; Sapucaí , Jititituba and Camaragibe.
