Santo Antonio and Serra D’água Ecological Reserves are visited by the Santa Cecília School
The visit was in celebration of World Environment Week
The Santo Antonio and Serra D’água Ecological Reserves received high school students from Escola Santa Cecília, in the Jacintinho neighborhood, in Maceió. The visit was intended to take students to experience the world environment day (which was celebrated on the last day 05) and show the importance of environmental preservation, presenting the natural beauties of the two reserves. The students’ task is to carry out evaluative pedagogical activities, related to everything they learned during the visit.
The students got to know the entire structure of the Reserves, the fauna and flora of each of the ecological spaces and also participated in a lecture on environmental awareness in the auditorium of the Santo Antonio Reserve, given by Anobelino Martins. The students visited the Titara handicraft center and the seedling production center at Reserva Santo Antonio and also walked along the ecological trails of the two reserves. The day was very productive, it was possible for the students to have direct contact with nature, feeling the wind in the trees, the harmony of colors and the joy of the birds.
